Jaegyu KIM majored in ceramic design at Hongik University in 1990, during which time He became engrossed with modeling.He began studying ceramic sculpture at the Hongik University Department of Ceramics in 1996. Since then he has produced ceramic craft items while running his own studio. At 1999, he produced and set up a ceramic mural at the Westin Chosun Busan where he highlighted the correlation between ceramic sculptural work and architecture. He have worked in spatial installation, public art, and ceramic murals since moving to my present studio in 2002. Since 1996 participated in exhibitions and symposium (mainly in South Korea), held solo exhibition. Participation in international biennials: Cheongju International craft Biennial in South Korea, 2007; The 7th & 9th Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennale organized by the Korean Ceramic Foundation (KOCEF) in Icheon, South Korea, 2013, 2017. Participation in international Symposium & Residence: Invited in the Nomadic Residence Program in Chennai, India, 2015. Invited in the 2016 Panevezys International Ceramic Symposium in Panevezys,Lithuania,2016. Invited in the International ceramic studio Residence Program in Jingdezhen, China,2017. He created ceramic works and ceramic wall installations for public spaces. The most important of them: Bathroom Design Interiors, KOCEF, Icheon (1st prize, 2010); Project "The Wall of a Military Object" in Gimpo,South Korea, 2012; Project 'Public sculpture', KOCEF (part of the Gyeonggi International Biennial of Ceramics), 2016. The works of the artist are Collectied by the Indian,lithuania,china and South Korean art museums.
